![]() ![]() His birth family sent us so many kind messages to show their support of the finalization too. What a wonderful feeling to officially say he’s ours forever and always. He loves being outdoors exploring, playing with cars and trains, and telling stories (his pediatrician says he’s about a year ahead in language development!).Īt the end of September Sammy’s adoption was finalized after nine long months. He’s such an amazing little kid so funny, intelligent, and kind. We’ve had a wonderful and busy couple of months! Desi celebrated his third birthday at the end of June with a dinosaur-themed pool party. He is already asking when he can have his next birthday. We are all looking forward to the growth and changes of a 4-year-old. Walking around the neighborhood is one of Leo’s favorite things. Leo made a few snowmen with his siblings and he picked out all the carrots for their noses and we had a nighttime snow walk. He likes to roll out the dough and decorate it with frosting. At home, he loves to help bake and he is quite good at it! We make bread weekly and Christmas cookie baking was a fun time for him. He has been attending preschool and learning how to make friends. Leo is extremely energetic and talkative. We saw so many- Pluto, Daisy, Minnie, Eeyore, Tigger. He was shy around the characters but still wanted to meet them. He often asks to sing It’s a small world. Leo liked the carousel and “It’s a small world” ride best. We took the whole family and grandparents to Disneyland in October. Leo was excited to celebrate his 4th bday! He loved opening presents and he picked out his chocolate cake. I know there were some rough spots but I appreciate your patience and understanding. I just want to thank all of you for everything you’ve done to make this dream come true for me. My husband and I are celebrating our 50th wedding anniversary next year July 27, 2024, and I want Peyton to be there. ![]() Her mother called me yesterday and said you know I’ve adopted Peyton, she is my granddaughter. Last story: I have a friend that I’ve been friends with since kindergarten. Peyton now has GiGi Kathy, Grandma Lily (her mother-in-law), Uncle Lance (her son), and Paw Paw (her husband). The following week she finally told me, I’m in love with this one and no one else can keep her so I’m coming out of retirement and she will be with me. Peyton was with her for a week and I noticed something. She said she would reach out to friends still in the business. ![]() She told me that if I felt comfortable, she would provide care for Peyton temporarily and she would help me find someone who could do it long-term. She said closed her daycare in 2019 after 32 years and she is retired. My friend told me she closed the daycare, however, she would still ask if she was still in the business. But then a friend told me about a woman who had a daycare. Peyton has even brought us a new extended family….because Peyton’s arrival was unexpected, I did not have my childcare in place. Peyton melted my heart from day one and clearly the same with my family and even extended family. The doctor has said that she is healthy, clearly happy and she is going to be tall. Today, she is 7 months old and doing great. Peyton’s adoption was finalized last month. They are new every morning Great is Your faithfulness. His steadfast love never ceases And His mercies never come to an end. Here is one of the pictures from his birthday party. We haven’t been in contact with his birth family but we are thankful for Jonathan and we pray for them. Every time he folds his hands to pray before meals and before bed, we thank God for this blessing in our lives. He’s been attending BSF with June since he was six months old and he is flourishing in his class learning about the Bible and God. His friends from church and BSF came to celebrate his big day. He loves Baby Shark and he had a Baby Shark theme for his birthday. It won’t be long before he will be talking in sentences. He is now talking in short sentences like, “What’s this?” and very proficient at speaking “Mama” and “Dada.” He now has more words in his vocabulary. He is now a full-fledged boy, jumping, running, and climbing. What a great blessing he has been to our family for the last two years. Today, our Jonathan turned two! It feels like yesterday I held him in my arms after he was born.
